This beautiful outfit is from Husain Rehar’s collection, “Nawabzadiyan” which has its roots linked to the cultural norms and aesthetics of the Nawab’s era. This collection has colours, motifs and embroidery from this bygone area. Hussain has taken the art of embellished fabrics from the Nawab’s time and made it available to a modern audience.
There are so many aspects of this outfit that I fell in love with, from the peachy-pink colour palette to the stubbed ‘zardozi’, pearl and crystal work to the embroidered trousers. Wearing it, you can’t help but feel regal. To finish the outfit I paired it with a traditional ‘polki’ set by Jaipur and Co and an exquisite updo.
