Roja Parfums was created by Roja Dove, a British Perfumer known for his passion for scent and his surprising creations. His fragrances are sold exclusively at Harrods, Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason and his boutique at Burlington Arcade. Roja is known for some of his flamboyant creations which include his Haute Luxe fragrance which have gold flakes floating in the fragrance.

This spring Roja Parfums launched its Essence De Parfum Collection, a series of seven seductive scents which each embody exciting characters. My favourites from the collection are Scandal, Elixir and Enigma as I mostly gravitate towards floral or powdery fragrances, I was most surprised by Danger which is a mix of citrus and oriental notes. The collection has something to offer you regardless of your tastes and has been created in Roja’s flamboyant style.
Scandal Essence De Parfum
Floral: Sweet - Fresh, Warm, & Very Sensual
Scandal is a head-turning trilogy of creamy white florals. Tuberose, gardenia and jasmine form the heart of this fragrance, with warm notes of sandalwood, orris and musk. Scandal is a strong floral fragrance with a powdery finish, a perfect choice if you love tuberose and gardenia, it is one of my favourites from the collection.

Heart notes: lily of the valley, freesia, rose de mai, gardenia, orange blossom, jasmin de grasse, tuberose
Base notes: sandalwood, orris, musk
Reckless Essence De Parfum
Floral: Sweet - Warm, Soft, Powdery, & Very Sensual
This is a bright, citrus burst of bergamot, mandarin and orange which is further enlivened by playful spices. rose de mai and warm neroli create a sweet and balanced duet which is complimented by a beautiful addition of benzoin, vanilla and rich sandalwood. I am not usually a fan of citrus fragrances however Reckless is a unique and interesting mix of notes especially with the vanilla and sandalwood, its one to try if you are looking for something different.

Risqué Essence De Parfum
Chypré: Warm & Dry - Fresh, Sweet, & Leathery
This fragrance has a fresh and sweet opening of rose, chamomile and peach which introduces a chypré harmony of oakmoss and cedarwood and closes on leathery Labdanum. Risqué is a very masculine scent with its mix of cedarwood and oakmoss, it reminds me of traditional men’s fragrances from a bygone area.

Elixir Essence De Parfum
Oriental: Rich & Soft - Sweet, Fruity, & Warm
One of my favourites from the collection, this is a lovely floral fragrance with top notes of bergamot, floral notes of lily of the valley, rose de mai and jasmin de grasse. The hints of peach and raspberry make Elixir a very subtle and chic fragrance.

Oriental, Rich & Soft - Sweet, Fruity, & Warm
This fragrance represents the Roja Parfums flagship boutique at 51 Burlington Arcade. 51 Parfum is an unusual fragrance of raspberry and rose, jasmine and lily ended on notes of vanilla. Elegant yet effervescent, 51 is a playful homage to Burlington Arcade, I would recommend trying this fragrance if you are looking for a floral fragrance with a twist.

Soft powdery notes of orris and musk dance around a central note of elegant rose de mai. This fragrance has an unexpected explosion of peach with patchouli and sandalwood accents. I really love Engima, this is an elegant mix of florals and musk with a powdery finish.

Danger Essence De Parfum
Oriental: Rich & Soft - Fresh, Sweet, Warm, & Sensual
Demure rose de mai and creamy white flowers mixed with the sweetness of sandalwood and vanilla. Orris and musk create a surprising finish to the fragrance. Danger is a warm mix of florals, citrus and warmer notes of sandalwood, I was quite surprised to like this fragrance and its grown on me as I have been using it.
