Manish Malhotra is one of the most established designers in India, with a career spanning over 30 years - he is a trailblazer in many ways. The Manish Malhotra ‘sari’ has become iconic. Awe inspiring, both due to its impeccable detailing and modern appeal, his embellished ‘saris’ have become legendary. They are an amalgamation of glamour and traditional Indian craftmanship.
Manish Malhotra initially rose to fame due to some exceptional outfits he created for super-hit Bollywood movies such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Manish brought legendary aesthetics to costume design and styling for India’s leading actors. His clothes whilst beautiful, also reflect contemporary India and the modern women he dresses.
Manish Malhotra’s Roseate Saree with Sequins and Botanical Embroidery is “a vision of spring and everything bling.” I absolutely loved this roseate chiffon saree with ‘resham’ botanical embroidery as soon as I saw it. Taken from Manish’s latest collection ‘Nooraniyat’ this is an abosolute dream of an outfit.
The original design comes with a sequin embroidered blouse which I loved as it was, however I prefer to wear long sleeves and so Manish’s exceptional team created me three blouse designs to choose from. Of the three designs his team created for me I chose a more classic design with a twist, I especially loved the continuation of the floral embroidery with a sheer net back. ‘Nooraniyat’ means full of light, this couture piece is incredible to wear, with its sequins and embellishments reflecting light. I particularly love the floral element to its design and know that it is a heirloom piece I will cherish in the years to come.
Their service is by Manish’s team is on a different level, I felt as though I was given the gold star treatment. I’m quite certain this is how all of Manish’s patrons are treated and part of the reason for his long-standing success in the industry.
