Born in Paris, Laurence Coste spent her childhood in France before moving to London in the mid 80s. She was inspired by Loulou de la Falaise, designer and fashion muse to Yves Saint Laurent. She initially began by designing pieces for her friends to wear to parties in Paris. She then embarked on a History of Art course at Christie’s which proved a great inspiration for the launch of her brand.
Laurence opened her jewellery boutique in Walton Street 2006 and in Sloane Street in 2017. I have been visiting the store for many years and it has been a firm favourite of mine both for buying special gifts and for finding really exquisite jewellery for myself. What I particularly love about Laurence Coste jewellery is that I can find very striking pieces for a particular outfit, I especially like to find contrasting jewellery for a special outfit and they have a myriad of colours to chose from.
Below I showcase a few of my favourite pieces from the Laurence Coste collection.
