Who can resist an organza ‘sari’? I absolutely loved the print of this ‘sari’ as soon as I saw it. Created by Lahore based brand Vleien, they have a collection of breathtaking ‘saris’ in a variety of different colours and prints.
Vleien consciously focuses on hiring artisans from less privileged minority groups in Pakistan. Minorities represent 90% of their workforce overall. Vleien are proud to give them a workplace where people from different backgrounds can coexist and be creative. The brand was founded in 2014 by creative director Faaria Abbasi Shehryar who is a fashion enthusiast and an academic.

The team at Vleien were really quick at sending me this outfit. The ‘sari’ comes with pleats so its easy to clip on. The blouse is a fully embroidered ‘resham’ work blouse with pearl details, it was tailored perfectly and sent within a few weeks of me ordering it.
I completed the look with nude coloured heels and traditional jewellery by Preeti Mohan.
